I've got so many ideas, but no time right now to write them all out....Here's one to play with. Localization of business through email marketing and website development. There's a lady in my area whom has this idea, but is stalling with putting it into fruition. How could she go about making an e-book/directory of everything local, and NOT have it be super expensive OR time consuming.

That is really what craigslist was originally meant to be all about. It's really a matter of physically going to the local businesses and compiling a website with their websites and maybe a simple profile. Then you send out a newsletter each month to all of the members with each member's latest specials etc..

It shouldn't be that expensive to do either. The blog can be set up for $20 + $10/month Hosting. You could charge each merchant a small fee for membership to help with the costs, but the real revenue could potentially come in when you have enough traffic to drive other people or even the member merchants themselves to want paid advertising on the website and in the monthly newsletter.
